Many of my friends have iPhones. I admit they look very pretty. They have status. My friends love to flash their iPhones around.
I use a Blackberry Curve. It's much more businesslike. It doesn't have status. It's not pretty. It just fetches my emails and my calls. It gets done what I need done.
I don't need to play videos on my smart phone.
I take pictures with my Blackberry. I admit the quality of these pictures stinks. The iPhone seems to take much better pictures in my experience. Every phone I know takes better quality pictures than my Blackberry Curve.
Still, my Blackberry does what I need and I plan on sticking with it. It's more than two years old now. I'm very happy. I'm thrilled to get my email anywhere and to be able to read the New York Times and the Drudge Report whenever I want.
I used to sleep with it under my pillow.
I worry I'm a little too addicted to checking my email. I get an adrenalin rush from checking my email. Not too healthy.
Thank God for the Sabbath when I put away technology and just live humanly.
